How to use a pad (Sanitary Napkin)

Hi! Today I will show you how to use a pad (aka sanitary napkin)

How to choose the right one- Usually your period can be light, average, or super which means your pad needs a certain absorbency. When buying pads always look  at what it says on the package (the thickness), even though some thinner pads can still be pretty absorbent. Try to find the pads or companies that you like. Maybe over the thickness, how comfortable it is, the size, absorbency (all basic things). Over the years absorbency of pads has improved very dramatically.

There are different pads for different types of underwear/panties so make sure you choose the right one. There ones for regular panties and some for thongs. There are pads for night time too. They are just made for laying down pretty much so they are longer.

There are 2 styles,  pads with wings and pads without wings. Which are the things on the sides you stick to the bottom of your panties so the pad stays on better.

Do not use scented pads if you have sensitive skin. They could irritate you in places you would not like to be irritated.

There are panty-liners but that’s a whole other story. Stick to those when you think your period is starting/ending. They’re for when its lighter, or for discharge.

How to put them on- Get in the best position and location (best location is a bathroom) Its better if you sit down but standing is also fine too. ALWAYS make sure your hands are clean and sanitized.

Remove the wrapper of the pad. Its better if you keep the wrapper to discard the pad later because who wants to see a bloody pad in the trashcan. NEVER EVER EVER flush it because that pad has a 99.9% chance of clogging or flooding your toilet. When you put it on put the pad in your panties and if it has wings fold the wings to the bottom. The wings keep the pad from moving and its also more comfortable. Now put those panties back on and your done 🙂
